This Seaside Heights Icon seems to survive elements of destruction of all kinds. Super Storm Sandy did not put a dent in it. Some suspect the grease buildup would have kept it afloat if it tried. It escaped fire, when the boardwalk just south of it was engulfed and left in cinders. It is indeed a survivor.
