Autumn Capture of the Wick House at Jockey Hollow in Morris County New Jersey. Once a house that served as Officers Quarters for the Continental Army during the Revolution. The Wick House was built between 1747 and 1750 by Henry Wick. The property was purchased in 1746 was known as the Dick Tract. Henry Wick and his family migrated from Long Island and the construction of the Wick House mirrors the style of their origin. Settlers were attracted to the Morris County by good farmland, the virgin timber supply, and deposits of iron ore. Henry Wick's main crop was trees which brought him his wealth.
As a self taught photographer from New Jersey from the time I picked up my first Kodak Instamatic camera I have enjoyed capturing moments in time. It truly turned into a life's passion when I acquired a Minolta SRT-101 at the tender (and volatile) age of 18. My photographic work runs the gamut of photojournalism through Fine Art Photography. My work has been displayed as a Gallery Resident Artist as well as Regional Art Shows. Published Fine Art Photography work has appeared in Travel & Leisure, Pennsylvania Magazine, and my photojournalist work has appeared in several newspapers.
